Electric control valve installation requirements

The electric control valve is installed on the pipeline and is in direct contact with the operating medium, and is affected by harsh working conditions such as high temperature, high pressure, corrosion and friction for a long time. Therefore, choosing the quality of the regulating valve has a great influence on the system control. Therefore, the correct and reasonable selection and installation of the regulating valve is particularly important.

1. The electric control valve should be checked and verified first, and installed after the pipeline is purged.

2. The installation position of the electric regulating valve should be convenient for operation and maintenance, so that personnel can carry out maintenance and operation, and a platform should be set if necessary.

3. When the electric control valve is installed in a vibration environment, anti-vibration measures should be considered.

4. The electric regulating valve should be installed vertically and upright on the horizontal pipeline. The regulating valve with a nominal diameter of DN≥50 should have permanent supports on the pipeline before and after the valve.

5. For electric control valves without valve positioner, it is better to install a small pressure gauge indicating the control signal on the membrane head.

6. There should be enough space in the upper and lower parts of the electric control valve to remove the actuator, valve trim, and the lower flange and plug of the valve during maintenance.

7. The installation position of the electric control valve should meet the requirements of the process design, and should be close to the primary indicating instrument related to it, so that the primary instrument can be observed when the bypass valve is manually operated;

8. The regulating valve should be arranged on the ground or platform and convenient for operation and maintenance .

9. The regulating valve should be installed upright and vertically on the horizontal pipeline. Under special circumstances, it can be installed horizontally or obliquely, but it must be supported;

10. When the regulating valve group (including regulating valve, bypass valve, shut-off valve and drain valve) is installed vertically, the regulating valve should be installed below the bypass. Regulating valves with a nominal diameter of less than 25mm can also be installed above the bypass.
